Roasted pork is not only one of the traditional christmas menues, it can be seen at the menu all year. On top of the roasted pork is the very coveted pork rinds, which also can be bought as chips. Pork rinds has to be very crunchy, and with salt.

The pattern you mention is called EMPIRE, an old style Danish porcelain which isn´t made anymore as far as I know, but it is sold second hand at many shops.
