Danish New Year traditions

January 2, 2012

Marzipan cake and champagne is a must at 12.

But we don´t throw dishes at the frontdoor of our neighbors, – an act that are supposed to mean friendship according to CNN.  If you ever celebrate a New Year eve here, don´t try to make friends that way, it will not be a succes!

And don´t be afraid to get “Kale with sprinkled sugar and cinnamon with white sauce”, as told at several sites about Danish traditions, I don´t think anyone knows what it is.
