Oooh, yummy, that looks delicious. Is it very sweet, from the icing and the sprinkles ontop? Or does the raspberry inside make it a bit more sour/tangy?

I would say very sweet, but it depends on the quality. A very good Hindbærsnitte, with tasty jam and a well made shortcrust let all the tastes mix in a perfect way, but at a poor made Hindbærsnitte, the sweet taste is dominating.

Ummmm! These are one of my favourite cakes. Me and my Dad used to make special trips to the bakers to buy hindbærsnitte and they’d be long gone by the time we got home. In fact they were gone before we got round the corner 😉

Oh, what a sweet memory, thank you for sharing it. Now I feel like making such trips with the youngest in the family, perhaps they too will think back one day and enjoy them a second time.
