Tree trunk – a popular cake

September 9, 2012

This is another very common cake called a “TRÆSTAMME” – a tree trunk. It can be bought everywhere, from the finest bakeries to supermarked and gasstations. And of course, it can be made at home.

Oooh, yummy! In German they call it ‘Baumkuchen’ and it is usually baked on a rotisserie, with the different layers ‘painted’ on and baked, so it takes a loong time. Yours looks absolutely *delicious*, Birgitte.
