When planning holidays, meetings, arrangements and whatever involve coordination of peoples time, week numbers are commonly used. Week numbers are printed on every calender, and most people know the week numbers of their holiday, the school holidays and other important events. The week number is sometimes used to reserve a period, then the actual date can be found later.

    In our calendar there are also week numbers. We use them. My wife taught to me that if man publishes some date, it is important to put also week name in the beginning. Doing this way it is easy to perceive when, if no weekday, man has to check it from calendar.

      I agree with you, it makes it much easy to use the information, it is a good habit your wife taught you. I´m trying to do it too.
