students celebrating

students celebrating their graduation

At the end of June, happy yelling and singing can be heard from the streets all over the country for some days, this is this years graduates, who continue the old tradition to finish three years of gymnasium with a short visit at the home of every student in the class. In one day. Being served all the best one can find – at every place. No Wonder that the singing are increasing as the day goes by. It is a kind gesture to use your cars horn, to wish the young people congratulation and a good party. Originally, a horse wagon was used, but…those were the good old days, only the name still remain, – to go with horse wagon. Today any kind of big car can be used, and there are need of whatever can drive, because  46.000 young students have finished gymnasium this year.

What a wonderful tradition! I like that it involves the whole community in the joy and pride young people feel when meeting their educational goals.
